About

Surrounded by Ravenna's rich cultural heritage (UNESCO lists eight of Ravenna's early Christian monuments as World Heritage Sites), Koko Mosaico continues to explore the language of mosaic yet never loses sight of past traditions.

The studio is like an atelier from times past where one can buy and/or commission mosaics.

Arianna Gallo
Founder Koko Mosaico

I was born near Ravenna on September 2, 1976. I graduated from the Gino Severini Mosaic Art Institute in Ravenna (1995) and from the School for Mosaic Restoration of the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage in Ravenna (1999). In 2005, together with my husband, I founded Koko Mosaico. I like to define the laboratory as an open, bright and international space; a forge where ideas are transformed into concrete. At Koko Mosaico I take care of commissions, artistic collaborations and teaching mosaic techniques.

I love my job.
