Handcrafted mosaic carpet by Koko Mosaico, created using the Ravenna technique with the direct method on lime.

This mosaic is truly a carpet: it does not rest on a rigid base but is mounted on mesh and flexible cement mortar.
It is composed of fine marble tesserae, hand-cut using the traditional tools of the craft, the hammer (martellina) and hardie (tagliolo).

The piece was designed to function as an elegant and refined doormat, a decorative object that remains mobile and can be placed wherever one desires.
