Two-strand braid created by Koko Mosaico using marble tesserae set into cement mortar, evoking the appearance of an authentic fragment of ancient mosaic.
The pattern faithfully reproduces a real detail still visible today in the Roman domus dating back to the 2nd century AD, located beneath Palazzo Ottoni in Matelica (Marche, Italy).
The domus was discovered by chance in 1987 during renovation works to install a heating system in the historic building.
