Wooden frame, cement mortar, hand-cut marble tesserae with the ancient tools, the hammer and the hardie.

The mosaic represents a detail of the mosaic floor of the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta in Aquileia, Italy. One of the snails, precious loot placed on a tray, is intent on escaping, so for us it is a symbol of freedom.
