Handmade by Koko Mosaico, direct technique on cement mortar.

Wooden frame, cement mortar, hand-cut marble tesserae with the ancient mosaic tools, the hammer and the hardie.

The mosaic represents Solomon's knot, one of the oldest and most widespread symbols which, over time, has changed its meaning and value.

It is a "knot" that cannot be unwound, because it has no beginning or end.

To tie and knot means to unite, to connect two objects, to put them close together and to make them proceed together.

Since ancient times, therefore, the knot has taken on the symbolic meaning of a bond between two people, or the profound union of man with the divine sphere and consequently salvation.

In the Renaissance, with the recovery of Greek and Latin myths, it was considered the "key to the Orient" and symbolized the path, often long and tortuous, for accessing knowledge reserved for a few scholars.

The allusion to Solomon comes from the great wisdom attributed to the king of Israel.
