Artwork created by Arianna Gallo on the occasion of the VII Biennial of Contemporary Mosaic for the exhibition LA COMMEDIA IN BOTTEGA – BEATRICE RACCONTA DANTE at the Biblioteca Oriani, Ravenna.

The exhibition was the last act of the project dedicated to the Divine Comedy which featured the mosaic artists associated with CNA, who narrated and interpreted the work of Dante Alighieri through mosaic.

For the occasion, the entire trilogy begun in 2017 and completed with artworks like this inspired by Paradise was exhibited.

Direct technique on cement mortar.

Wooden base, cement mortar, marble tiles and enamels cut by hand using ancient tools, hammer and hardie.

Smalti from Orsoni, the historical Venetian furnace that uses the same techniques since 1888 to produce 24K gold leaf mosaics, colored gold and Venetian smalti.
